How I Can Help

I offer a range of specialist services to support children, young people, and adults with dyslexia or related learning differences. Each service is designed to be calm, supportive, and tailored to individual needs.

A full assessment provides a clear understanding of your reading, writing, and processing skills highlighting both strengths and areas for support.

One-to-one tuition designed around each learner’s unique strengths and challenges. Using multi-sensory teaching methods, I help learners improve reading, writing, spelling, and memory skills while building confidence and self-belief.

A Needs Assessment explores what adjustments or strategies can make learning easier from exam arrangements to practical tools and study techniques.

Personalised Support That Builds Confidence

After an assessment, I provide one-to-one tuition tailored to individual needs. Each session is designed to help learners build confidence, improve key skills, and feel more positive about reading and writing.

What Clients Say

Kind words from families and learners who’ve experienced a positive change through my support.

My daughter has been receiving tutoring from Bhrinda for 18 months.  She's a wonderful tutor - incredibly personable, warm and really "gets" my daughter.  She takes the time to listen and understand what is going on both academically and in the background too.  This means that my daughter is fully engaged in her sessions and looks forward to coming to see her each week.  Sessions are tailored to my daughter, the curriculum she is following in school and her needs and interests.  Bhrinda always manages to keep things fresh and fun whilst still getting the results. I  love that she is teaching our daughter tools which she can take away and use independently.  As a result, her confidence academically and socially is coming on leaps and bounds.  I would wholeheartedly recommend Bhrinda's services to anyone looking for a specialist dyslexia tutor.

From EB's mum (Molesey)

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the fantastic work you did in assessing my son. It was clear throughout the process that you are incredibly dedicated to your work and truly passionate about helping children. Your attention to detail really stood out and gave me great confidence that nothing was overlooked. I’m so grateful for the care and professionalism you brought to the assessment, and for the supportive way you approached it. Thank you again for the difference you are making. If the opportunity arises I will definitely recommend you to others.

From MG's parent (Esher)

Mrs De Silva has been a wonderful help to our daughter’s education. Our daughter was recently diagnosed with dyslexia and we wanted to find help for her beyond what she was getting in her school, so we were really lucky to have found this tutor who is not only local to us, but also so knowledgeable with this learning need. Mrs De Silva has a very positive and rewarding approach to tutoring which has seen our daughter leave her lessons feeling uplifted and empowered. This is so wonderful for us to see, as prior to this tutoring we were seeing a lot of negativity with her abilities and attitude to learning. We would recommend this tutor to all families with dyslexia children.

Parent of MC (Molesey)

I really like Mrs De Silva's lessons because they’re really fun and they help me learn. My favourite lesson is probably the memory games and the dictations. She really understands how my brain works and she lets me have fidget toys too and snacks!
